Spotlight on African Diaspora in the V&A exhibition - migration and heritage context

''A question of babies mentality on her outlook of a negro man why she was nervous and distressed. was it her societies perception being imparted on her .

Another view was the artist perception. As an artist myself what was the idea, concept and intention behind the selection of subject matter, his notion on the babies reaction.

An innocent babies unfamiliarity to negro people As were not a dominate race in that region at that time. if I was in Africa in 1853 as a negro baby unfamiliar with people of Caucasian decent would I have reacted in the same manner.

2011 in the 21st century in comparison to the 19th century what reaction will a white baby have in this modern world in similar context with the medias influence and stereotypes about black males. how are Negroes viewed in society today''. -Rasheed K Bushura
